My Greatest Place Sorry, no picture available... Pentewan Sands in Cornwall, England From: Alison Is it the same type of place as one of the 7 Greatest Places? No, it's a different type of place.About this Greatest Place: This is a wonderful, old fashioned haven of rugged coastline, typical to Cornwall. It is as far as we are concerned, unparalelled in peace and beauty. It is a small seaport set in the high Cornish cliffs, where seagulls cry, and children play all day in the yellow sand. There is not a building above bungalow height in sight, and it remains unspoilt and unchanged as each year passes. The entire Cornish coastline represents one of the wonders of the world, as far as many British people are concerned. Pentewan is the jewel in the crown.
